EXP Bag

A small script made for Tobyej. It’s very simple and doesn’t require screenshots to be fully understood. It allows you to make items and skills give experience points to either the target, the user or both.

Instructions
There are four possible notetags that can be used on items or skills in order to activate EXP gain.
<target_exp: x>
Gives x Exp points to the target.
<target_exp%: x>
Gives to the target x% of the required EXP for next level.
<user_exp: x>
Gives x Exp points to the user.
<user_exp%: x>
Gives to the user x% of the required EXP for next level.

  1. This could be handy. I don’t know why this wasn’t included in Ace to begin with.

This is a very nice script/idea and I had no problem when testing the set EXP addition but when I tried both the target skill and a potion with the 20% tag it seemed at first to work fine but after awhile instead of giving 20% it was giving entire levels (around the level 30 and up range). I assume a bug but perhaps I did something wrong either way keep up the amazing work it is much appreciated πŸ™‚

    • I checked over and over but I haven’t made any mistake in the EXP calculation. It always takes the right percentage of the EXP needed for the next level. Maybe it’s a bug with how the EXP is calculated by the default scripts…
      I’ll keep searching for the cause, sorry if it takes a bit of time.

    • Nope it wasn’t. I merely misunderstood what the value called ‘next exp level’ really meant. It is fixed now πŸ™‚
